Woke up around 0700hrs. My wife prepared a very light breakfast for us, and after that we headed to Harbour Town for some shopping.

Harbour Town was an outlet shopping centre for some of the brands like adidas, nike, etc.

As we were pretty early, most of the shops were not open yet. We dropped by Pure & Natural for our second breakfast. We ordered a chicken wrap and a plate of caesar salad to share. The food was great, what I enjoyed most was the caesar salad. Very fresh and crunchy vegetables topped with smoked bacon.

The bacon was insanely delicious.

After a hearty breakfast, we broke into two teams and went shopping separately. The prices for the clothings were ok, not exactly cheap. Nevertheless, we had to cure our shopping itch since we were already here.

After we were done, we proceed to watch the Red Bull Air Race.

Crowds watching the Red Bull Air Race.

After the finals, we were treated with acrobatic flying by RAAF Roulettes with their Pilatus PC9.

A RAAF FA18 Hornet flying close proximity to us.

The engine was so loud that it was scaring the seagulls nearby.

After the end of the show, we walked back toward the city. We passed by the Bell Tower.

We went to a supermarket near our hotel to buy our groceries. My! The queue was long! It’s totally different from what we had previously at Albany and Margaret River. David and I queued up while Yang Hui and my wife went to pick up the food. The queue took around 30mins and I’m really glad that we were out of the place.

After we placed our groceries back at the hotel, my wife and I get ready for our last wedding shoot at the Matilda Boat Shed.

While we were at the Matilda Boat Shed having our wedding shoot, there’s cars blowing their horns and giving us their congratulations. This was probably something that we don’t often see in Singapore.

We shot till the sky turns dark and we proceed back to our hotel for our dinner.

Woke up early today at 0600hrs to get the morning light for our wedding photo shoot. The lighting was good but the weather was cold cold cold!

My wife changed into the gown at the lodging and we took a short ride to the jetty. I didn’t take any of my own shots there and it’s too cumbersome to bring the camera.

We did at a pretty fast paced and finish everything within an hour.

We had our hearty breakfast back at the observatory and started to move our luggage into the car.

One last shot at the observatory before we head for Perth.

The ride toward Perth was quite long which took about three hours plus.

Finally we are back to the city. But somehow I had mixed feelings.

All along I thought I’m a city person as I preferred cosmopolitan city beaming with life and how easy it was for me to look for a decent toilet to do my business, but right now I’m already starting to miss the wilderness that only rural areas could offer.

Anyway we stopped by at Fremantle before we proceed to Perth.

After the long ride, we were checking out their toilets to ease our bladders.

Crossing a railway track toward the fishing boat harbour.

Fishing harbour at Fremantle. Sculptures reflected how life used to be at the harbour.

Yacht docking at the harbour.

The two more popular seafood restaurant down at Fremantle were probably the Cicerello’s Seafood Restaurant and Kailis Fish Market Cafe, but we chose Kailis due to a recommendation that we saw in a forum.

Cicerello’s Seafood Restaurant by the harbour.

After I ordered the food from Kailis, I was given a device which will beep once the food is ready. Pretty cool eh.

People enjoying their food under the shade with a tint of cool breeze.

Finally our food came and again the portion is MADNESS!!!

These which looks like mini lobsters to me are called Yabbies. Very fresh and juicy.

After our lunch, we went down to the Fremantle Markets.

Street performers entertaining the crowds with their talents.

We met up with David and Yang Hui at Dome and proceed to check in to Medina Barracks. We saw the entrance of the hotel but couldn’t find the place to park the car. After circling the place for a while, Yang Hui dropped off from the car and check with the staff inside.

Finally, we managed to locate the carpark after Yang Hui checked with the staffs. Upon entering the carpark, we stumbled on this funny sign. Probably will look funny to Singaporeans only, wat’s PCC in Perth anyway?

The lodge was good, very spacious and clean. It was equipped with washing machine and dryer as well! As David and Yang Hui need to go out to meet their friends in Perth, my wife and I took the opportunity to clean every single piece of clothing that we had.

Later into the night, David and Yang Hui was back from their dinner, we had our Leeuwin Estate Frog Series Reisling while we watched Tv. After a while I was knocked out on the sofa.

After whale watching at Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse, we passed by Dunsbourough and had our lunch at Chicken Treat. The chicken wasn’t exactly fantastic, but the coleslaw was good though. I would definitely choose KFC over Chicken Treat.

Back in Busselton, we went straight toward the jetty to visit the Underwater Observatory.

Walking along the 1.8km jetty to the Underwater Observatory. The weather was great today, it’s not as windy as the day before.

Saw a yacht some distance away, cruising in the sea.

After we paid for our tickets to the Underwater Observatory, we waited for a couple of minutes before the tour starts.

My wife was pointing to me that there’s a lot of birds resting at the further end of the jetty which I took some snapshots.

The tour started with the guide giving us a history of the busselton jetty, followed by a walk down the stairs which we were greeted by beautiful visual sights of marine life through the glass panels.

The guide was saying occasionally they could even see dolphins swimming around the observatory.

Beautiful beams of corals could be seen through the glass panels.

After making our way back up, we take a slow walk back.

When we were back to the start point of the jetty, we witnessed a wedding ceremony at the beach.

After snapping pictures for almost the whole day, my battery was running dry. I asked David to drop me off back at the lodging while they get our dinner at Coles. As I was already tired of angmo food, I asked my wife to get some instant noodles instead.

After charging the battery for 1/2 hours, I sprung back to snapping action again.

After sunset we headed back for our dinner. After dinner we drank the Rose wine we brought from Redgate and the rest played card games.

Slept around 2300 as we got to prepare to do our wedding shots next morning

Woke up at 7am today, the owners of the Observatory Guest House were already preparing breakfast for us. The breakfast consists of bacon, sausages, toast bread, coffee and orange juice.

After breakfast, we went to Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse.

Inside the lighthouse, the guide was telling to us the history of the lighthouse and how life were hard for the lighthouse keepers as they did not have paid annual leave and not to mention that they were inhaling harmful vapor from the kerosene everyday. Thankfully now the lighthouse was fully automated.

Up at the lighthouse, the guide was pointing out to the sea that he saw some whales activities. At first it’s pretty hard to us to spot the whales as we were quite a distance away, after a while we managed to see gushes of water shooting out of the water.

Can you spot the fin of the humpback whale in the center of the photo?

The guide told us that we could get a closer look by walking thru a whale watching trail which was nearby.

One more shot of the naturaliste lighthouse before we proceed to the whale watching point.

It’s a 15 minutes sandy walking trail to the lookout point.

When we reached the lookout point, we already saw quite a number of whales in the sea but too bad my lens was not long enough for this.

My wife hiding under the hood while waiting for the whales to surface.

This was the closest that my lens could bring me. My Nikon 55-200mm VR was maxed out.

Some visitors getting into the action too!

After we had taken our shots, we proceed back to Busselton.

Before going to Busselton, Yang Hui and my wife decided to pay the pharmacy a visit, as my wife’s skin was getting very dry due to the humidity level.

While waiting for the ladies, I took a shot of the beautiful town of Margaret River.

Shortly after that, we continued our journey towards Busselton. The weather was great today.

We dropped by the Margaret River Cheese Factory along the way. There wasn’t anyone at the counter when we arrived, so we proceed to the Margaret River Chocolate Company.

Margaret River Chocolate Company sports 200 over varieties of chocolates and we were spoilt by choices. The packaging of the chocolates were attractive too and we brought some to share with family and friends.

Back to the road, I was suggesting to David that we backtracked our route a little because I would like to take some photos of the lambs I saw earlier before the Margaret River Chocolate Company.

Yang Hui suggested to go to Cape Lavender which was nearby. Fresh scent of lavender lingers in the air when we roam around the place.

After Cape Lavender, we hurried on to our journey to Busselton as it’s getting late and I was worried that we might not be able to check in to our lodging.

We reached our lodging Observatory Guest House around 1700hrs plus. We quickly moved our luggages out of the car and went into our rooms.

As I could see quite a number of locals were already wearing Bermudas, t-shirt and slippers, so I thought we were already moving toward late spring. So happily I changed into my normal attire that I usually wear in Singapore and walked towards the jetty.

The Busselton jetty was the longest jetty in the southern hemisphere which stretches 1.8km into the sea.

Walking along the jetty, I could felt the cool breeze tickling my tired feet as I was wearing slippers. There’s a lot of seagulls action here.

As I walked further and further out to the sea, the wind seems to be getting stronger and stronger! Woohoooo… Luckily I bought my jacket along, but my legs weren’t that lucky as I was wearing Bermudas and slippers. Nevertheless it was a very good experience, as naturally I like strong winds and cold weathers.

We reached the end of the jetty and walked back.

Locals fishing at the jetty.

The glass panels at the Interpretive Centre captured deeper contrast of the sky.

The sun was setting, and the sky turns into a dramatic pinkish purple.

We settled our dinner at McDonalds as most of the shops had closed already. Walking back to our lodging took 15 cold minutes.

Already very tired for the day, I was knocked out once again.

Today I woke up at 0700hrs. No ducks were waiting to be fed today *disappointed*. I went out of the cottage to see if I could get some birds shots.

My wife was also out of bed, getting ready as we need to check out by 1000hrs and proceed to Leeuwin Estate for some photo shooting.

After we ate our breakfast, we started to move our luguagges to the car.

When we reached Leeuwin Estate, we opted for the winery tour which includes wine tasting.

Before the tour started, we went down to their basement to visit their art gallery which was free of charge. Several of the Australian leading contemporary artists’ works were featured here.

Our guide that day was Leah, she brought us to a wall which she called it Brag Wall. This was because on the wall, there’s plague that shows the number of awards and achievements that their wines had won. Leah also gave us a history of Leeuwin Estate and how Margaret River was selected as a location for growing grapes. Cooler climate was basically the reason for that.

Leeuwin Estate was a newcomer in wine making compared to several older vineyards around, but it’s already gaining grounds to become an international brand.

We proceed to the winery where we were shown the machines that processed the grapes. In here, I already could smell a faint fragrance of wine in the air.

Red grapes were harvested and fermented together with the skin to give it the distinct red color while the white grapes’ skin were separated to give the natural white grapes color.

Harvesting were normally done during the night due to the reason being oxidation would be much lower without the sunlight.

Mixing of the wines here.

Their cellar of happy water.

At the end of the tour, we were treated with several samples of their famous wines. Leeuwin Estate releases its wines under three labels, the “Art Series”, Prelude Vineyards and Siblings.

After some session of tasting, we brought some back for family and friends.

Shortly after this, we proceed for some photo shooting. Found this flurry big bird resting on the lamp post.

We finishing our photo shooting around 1400hrs and proceed to Busselton.
